This is one picture from a small collection I’ve put together in my portfolio of birds of prey – the superb American Eagle. The photographs were taken at various places in Ireland, sometimes with the help of handlers who were good enough to hold black material or paper behind the birds for me. We were lucky enough to get tickets to hear and see the Dalai Lama speak in St. Brigid’s Church in Kildare town last month. The Dalai Lama arrived in Kildare for a short ceremony and then walked up to the Cathedral, before arriving in the church. Needless to say it was an honour to be there. Below are a few members of Ireland’s tiny Tibetan community. I could be completely wrong but I think I read a statistic saying there were only 19 Tibetan’s living here.
