This was taken late in the evening on the beach at Maspalomas in Gran Canaria. I always think the beach looks loveliest first thing in the morning or last thing in the evening before the sun goes down – usually when the number of people on it is sparse....
In A Country Churchyard
posted by Jennifer Farley
A couple of weeks ago myself and Jason went to visit his family in East Sussex in the south of England. It’s a really beautiful part of the world. This old church is in Hellingly near Hailsham and was in walking distance from his Mam’s house and was surrounded by a semicircle of very old houses – all occupied. It was incredibly peaceful and seemed like a gorgeous place to have a house, even if it meant having some gravestones in your front garden. Dark Illuminated Statue
posted by Jennifer Farley
I took this in a very dark church in a small town in the Tuscany hills. I loved how the face was lit up and the shadow that was cast behind. It’s a hand-held shot and I have to admit that I took several (loads) of this statue in a bid to get what I wanted, but I’m happy enough with this. Baby Jesus’s face is in a bit of a white-out but overall I like this picture and it brings back nice memories of a trip to Tuscany last...
Freak Out

These pictures were taken at the funfair in Portrush. The menfolk decided to have a go on the “Freak Out”. I felt sick just looking at it. That’s our friend Michael looking cool as a cucumber. Jason, directly over my head and upside down, pretending to be as cool as a cucumber. The sickening apparatus in full...
Camel Guide Tunisia

This was taken on myself and Jason’s honeymoon in Tunisia. We were on the edge of the Sahara and this man was wrangling a feisty camel. I think the expression on his face may say “bloody tourists” but I’m not sure.
On Eastbourne Pier

These were taken last year on a visit to lovely East Sussex in England. This was a pretty dull day and even though it was the middle of summer, the pier at Eastbourne wasn’t too busy. I like the difference in mood between the people in the picture above and the ladies in the pic...

Met these two gorgeous little fellas on the way into a forest in India. They were very cute and curious. Also on the way, we passed this hand lettered sign, a nice reminder of what the forest is all...
Two Little Dudes

I met these two little dudes when we were on a trek in Northern India. I was delighted a) to stop walking and have a break and b) have these lovely little fellas pose for me. I love the expression on the little boy on the left, he’s got a bit of a gangster pose going...
