Just chatted to these two gents long enough to persuade them to sit still for a portrait snap, but not long enough to catch their names.

When I was at Bloom In The Park on Thursday, who did I bump into? Only Ireland’s president Mary McAleese. Well I was actually about 10 feet away smelling flowers and attempting to snap bees when I saw the president and entourage meeting some of the staff in the walled garden. I think this is quite a nice smiling shot of her.

Yesterday, along with some other lovely photowalkers, I was invited to the opening of the Bloom gardening festival in the Phoenix Park in Dublin. This is the third year of the festival and it features show gardens, food markets, cooking and DIY demonstrations and more. This was taken on myself and Jason’s honeymoon in Tunisia. We were on the edge of the Sahara and this man was wrangling a feisty camel. I think the expression on his face may say “bloody tourists” but I’m not sure.
