Rinpoche

This weekend, myself and Jason attended a teaching in Kilkenny by Panchen Ötrul Rinpoche, founder of the Jampa Ling Buddhist Centre (Cavan). Jampa Ling means “place of infinite loving-kindness” and the teachings this weekend were about meditation, loving kindness and compassion. Rinpoche laughs a lot while he’s talking and the whole room literally lights up when he smiles.

Ana La is a Buddhist nun, also from Jampa Ling. Ana La led the meditation practices and explained a huge amount about overcoming suffering and finding happiness. It was an absolute honor to be in the same room as these people for the weekend.

The teachings were held at Ballilogue Clochan in Kilkenny, which is a beautifully converted farmhouse and worth a visit for the peace, solitude and fantastic home cooking. You can even attend photography workshops with Mark McCall. Thanks to all for a great weekend.
