I’m kind of embarrassed to say I don’t know if this is a hawk or an eagle (National Geographic puts down the phone), but I do know this is a beautiful bird and it kills and eats small animals.
*Update* Thank you to Stephen who has identified this bird as a crow peregrine falcon.
