Old Abbey in Fore, County Westmeath, Ireland

Fore is a nice little town near Lough Lene in County Westmeath. It’s known for it’s seven wonders which include the Water That Flows Uphill, the Tree that won’t burn and the Monastery Built in a Bog! I wouldn’t hold my breath on those – they’re a little underwhelming to say the least. The abbey (in my pic above) , which was built in 630 AD is impressive though, and well worth a visit.
